How we work

The same four stages run on both branches, with different content inside them. Here is what happens at each one, what you get, and how the money for licensed partners actually flows.

Stage 1: the free diagnostic call

Thirty minutes, no charge, on both branches. You describe the product or the commodity, the direction, and where you are in the process. We use it to confirm we can actually help, and to give a real estimate rather than a price list that does not fit your specific case. If your case does not fit what we do, we say so on this call rather than after taking a deposit.

Stage 2: the paid assessment or scoping

On importing into Brazil, this is the market entry assessment itself: NCM classification, demand data, the regulatory access map, landed cost, and a go/no-go verdict, in 2-3 weeks. On sourcing from Brazil, it is a shorter scoping step that sizes a supplier search or a due diligence report on an exporter you already found. Either way, you get a written deliverable, not a verbal opinion.

Stage 3: the written proposal

Before any further paid work starts, you get a proposal in writing: the scope, the price, and what is and is not included. On import, the price follows the package grid on pricing. On sourcing, it is quoted per deal because the commodity and scope vary too much for a fixed number. There is no work billed that was not agreed in this proposal.

Stage 4: running it

On import, this is company set-up, regulatory registration, distributor search or the operational stages of the full-cycle package, run with our lawyer (OAB), accountant (CRC) and customs broker partners doing the parts that legally need their licence. On sourcing, it is the supplier search, the due diligence check, or coordinating an independent, licensed inspection company for the shipment. We stay the point of contact throughout; the partner network does the piece of work that legally has to sit with a licensed professional.

How partner costs are billed

Our fee covers our own work: the assessment, the search, the coordination, the write-up. A partner's own fee, a notary charge, a registry filing fee, an inspection company's visit charge, is quoted to you before it is incurred and shown as a separate line rather than added invisibly to our invoice. Nothing here is a guess: the specific figure comes from the partner doing the work, for the specific case.

Confidentiality

What you share with us runs your engagement and stays there. It is not shared with other clients, and it reaches a partner in the network only when that partner is actually doing a piece of the work, and only with the details that piece of work needs. We do not publish client names, logos or case studies without asking first, and right now we have none published at all; the sample reports on the services pages are built from public data on a labelled fictional company or product for exactly this reason.

Timelines, realistically

A market entry assessment runs 2-3 weeks. A supplier search or a due diligence report gets its timeline set in the written quote after the diagnostic call. Company formation and regulatory registration run on the timelines the Brazilian registries themselves publish, which are on the relevant guide pages (for example RADAR and Siscomex for accreditation, or company formation for registration steps) with the act and the period stated. We do not promise a faster timeline than the registry's own published period allows.

What we do not do

We do not guarantee an approval, a specific timeline shorter than the one the relevant authority publishes, or a sale. We do not hold or move client money at any stage, and we do not perform the licensed work ourselves where a partner's licence is legally required for it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the first call really free?

Yes, on both branches. It is 30 minutes, used to understand the product or the commodity, the direction, and what stage you are at, and to give you a real estimate rather than a generic price list.

How do you bill partner costs like notary fees or an inspection company's fee?

Separately and transparently. Our fee covers our own work. A partner's fee, whether that is a lawyer's notary costs, an accountant's filing fee, or an inspection company's visit charge, is quoted separately and shown as a separate line rather than folded into our invoice.

What happens to the information I share with you?

It is used to run your engagement and is not shared with any other client, competitor, or third party beyond the licensed partner actually doing the specific piece of work, and only the details that partner needs. We do not publish client details in case studies without asking first, and right now we have none published at all.

What is the realistic timeline end to end?

It depends on the service and the stage. A market entry assessment runs 2-3 weeks. A supplier search or due diligence report gets its timeline in the written quote after the diagnostic call. Company formation and regulatory registration, once started, run on the timelines set by the Brazilian registries themselves, which are on the relevant guide pages with the act behind each period.
