Brazilian supplier search
You know what you want to buy from Brazil. You do not yet have a short, checked list of who can actually sell it to you at your volume, and a directory of company names is not the same thing.
Who this is for
A buyer who has settled on a commodity, a grade or specification, and a target volume, and needs a short list of Brazilian exporters who can actually supply it, rather than a long list of company names to research one by one.
The problem this solves
Searching for a Brazilian supplier from abroad usually turns up two kinds of result: general B2B directories where anyone can list a company regardless of whether it exports, or generalist sourcing agencies that search well but do not run the Brazil-specific registry checks before handing you a name. Either way, the qualifying work still has to happen before a name on a list is worth an email. We run that qualifying work as part of the search itself, not as a separate step you do afterward.
What we do
- Take your specification: commodity, grade or quality parameters, volume, target price range, and delivery window.
- Search for exporters that match it, using the same commodity-specific criteria our own guides use: the SIF plant register for beef and poultry, ABIC/Cecafé sourcing for coffee, CICB for leather, UNICA for sugar.
- Run the free public registry checks on each candidate before it makes the shortlist: an active CNPJ with the Receita Federal, tax clearance, Siscomex foreign-trade accreditation, and, for meat and poultry, confirmation the specific plant is cleared to export to your country through the MAPA SIGSIF register.
- Make first contact with the candidates that pass, and record the status of each conversation.
Deliverables
A shortlist of 3-5 exporters that match your specification and have passed the registry checks, each with its CNPJ, its SIF number where applicable, and the status of first contact. Candidates that failed a registry check are not included, and we tell you which check they failed if you want to see the full search.
Timeline
Timeline is set in the written quote after the diagnostic call, depending on how narrow the specification is and how many candidates respond to first contact.
What we need from you
The commodity and specification, target volume, price range if you have one, and your target market or country of final destination, since that decides which plant-level clearances matter.
Price
Quoted per deal, after the free diagnostic call. Price depends on the commodity, how narrow the specification is, and how many candidates need to be checked before a shortlist of 3-5 survives. See pricing for what drives the number.
Who does the work
Run by our desk in Rio de Janeiro, checking the same public registries described on verifying a Brazilian exporter. We do not buy or sell the commodity ourselves; we are independent of every candidate on the list, which is what lets us tell you when none of them fit rather than push you toward the easiest introduction.
This page describes a paid service, not legal or financial advice on a specific transaction.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a supplier directory or a matching platform?
A directory returns every company that filled in a listing form, active or not, real exporter or reseller. We run the free public registries first, so the shortlist we hand you has already cleared the checks in verifying a Brazilian exporter: an active CNPJ, tax clearance, foreign-trade accreditation, and for meat and poultry the plant's clearance to export to your specific country.
What commodities do you cover?
Green coffee, beef, poultry, wet blue leather, sugar, and soybean meal, the goods our commodity guides and the exporter checklist already cover. If your commodity is not on that list, tell us and we will say plainly whether we can run the search before quoting anything.
Do you also negotiate the deal for me?
Search and first contact only, at this service. Contract terms, Incoterms and payment structure are covered separately under contract and payment terms support, and shipment verification under inspection coordination. Each is its own step because each closes a different gap; see verifying a Brazilian exporter for why we do not collapse them into one.
How many suppliers do I get?
Typically 3-5 candidates that pass the registry checks and match your volume and specification, with a status on first contact for each. Fewer, checked candidates rather than a long unchecked list is the point of the service.
